Built as type C-47A-10-DK "Skytrain"
To USAAF as 42-92595
to Royal Air Force as Dakota Mk III under lend lease as KG383
1944 to South African Air Force and serialed as 6829
Later to 35 sqn SAAF
December 1995 sold to South African Airways and registered ZS-BXJ, named "Zwartkop"
Flown to the then Jan Smuts Airport from Cape Town.
Stripped for restoration and conversion to DC-3C standard.
1999 aircraft moved by road from Johannesburg International Airport to Air Force Base Swartkop, to South African Historic Flight.
2003, used as spare parts to repair ZS-BXF (after crash at Lanseria)
Sold to Andre Swanepoel 2007, moved by road to Benoni, on static display, Atlasville Benoni.
